I think I may have a problem

Dead bugs in the mail

I found an ebay store what has dead bugs and will mail you dead bugs for money (an atlas rhino beetle, for instance). What you do with the bugs is your own business, and I won't ask, but me I choose to rehydrate them to splay their legs and draw them up. Maybe with carbon dust.

Prints available here.

Oh, Hi There

Someone recently messaged me on Etsy, saying how much they liked my description for this picture. For posterity, I'll post it here, too:

"I wanted something like a classic portrait to hang above my mantle, should I ever possess a fireplace. An image that would greet me warmly with a smile as I come home from a long day at the bug factory (we make all the bugs, sorry!) This is the image that I just now told you about.

'You're number one in my book!' is what you can imagine him saying to you."

Prints of this portrait of Riker (the manliest man), are available here.

Early Bird

During a job hunt I had applied to an ad agency. To all their candidates they sent out the same small assignment, which was to create a mockup of a half-page ad for a fictitious small-business solutions firm. This was for the purpose of weeding out the bad applicants. I submitted a sketch of this very image, except that it said WORMS real big diagonally across it. I was weeded out.

Zombies

Zombies is all it is. Story: I did this as a tshirt for a local band a friend of mine was in, which was around the time Brokeback Mountain came out. Someone who saw this thought all the zombies were doing that limp-wristed gesture at the cowboy, to make fun of him. /story.
